An overweight exemption may be granted at the discretion of the scrutineers, however no bicycle or pram wheel based cart will be allowed to exceed 100kg.

No loose or unsecured objects, weights etc are allowed in carts. (securely fixed weight bringing the cart up to the total weight limit is allowed)

Billy-carts must have some form of effective braking device (Brakes should be able to hold the cart on the hill without human or other assistance.)

Each entrant is responsible for holding the Billy-cart on the start line until started. You can use your brakes or have a parent/friend hold the cart. Push starts are not allowed and will result in disqualification. The entrant is responsible for getting back to the start line for the next run. A driver, car and trailer are present to bring some carts back up to the start line but we cannot guarantee they will be back in time for the next run. No drivers are allowed in the trailer whilst underway.

Billy-carts not to be powered in any way whatsoever other than gravity.

Traditional wooden carts with rope steering are NOT recommended and are generally not allowed.

No entries will be accepted on the day except for the Parent/Child push event and best display cart.

Carts will be timed by stop-watch. We are trying to obtain electronic timing! Fastest time wins.

Most awesome cart means cool-looking or flash or colourful or special.

Ugliest cart means worn-looking, rough or just plain ugly.

Every non open entrant who runs down the hill receives a participation medallion.

The same cart can be used by up to 2 persons per age category, however each person must complete a separate entry with a signed indemnity.
